Black and white Birds Nail Art

Sorry for being a little MIA. I haven't even had time to paint my nails in so long.

All I got is the cell phone picture of a design I did last week. So that is all I can give to you for now, I'm really sorry.

The nail polished I used for this was -

White - OPI - Alpine Snow
Black - Isadora - Gothic Black
Top Coat - Seche Vite

Tried to upload this a few times but it never came up so I'm hoping it will now.

DIY Dotting Tools

Today I thought I would show you how to do your own dotting tools with things you may have at home or you can easily get.

First we got pins, they come in all different sizes and are really good to use for dotting tools.

If you have problem with holding them you can put it in a pen with a rubber on the top.

Then we got the bobbypins, they don't come in as many sizes that the pins do but still works fine. You use to rubber end for the dotting tools.

I hope I helped someone other there who is new in the nail art world. These are the things I used for dotting tools when I first started. But really the real dotting tools are pretty cheap online, just saying!

But now it's time for me to go to bed. Got school and a really important interview. But thanks for paying a visit to my blog.

Pastel Tribal Nails

Finally here you go a new design for you. For this design I used the nail polish OPI - You're Such A Budapest which I swatched for you last week. It's like purple pastel color according to me. I wanted to match this with other light colors and get a colorful and light design to chase the boring winter weather away. But apparently it didn't work so well because there came even more snow today. Don't want more snow now, it was fun for a while but now its not anymore. I thought this ended up being a good design and it was a good color match.

To do this design I started with three layers of the purple, over the base coat of course. Then I did gradients on all the nails except my middle finger. I did gradients in two different colors, the blue and pink. The with the a striping brush I did the tribal prints with white nail polish. I even added some dots with a dotting tool.

The lines are not the straightest once and I got a little tip wear because I was to lazy to take pictures when I finished them and waited 2 days. Shame on me.

The nail polishes I used for this design is -

Don't forget your base coat.
Purple - OPI - You're A Such A Budapest
Pink - Essie - Splash Of Grenadine
Blue - China Glaze - Kinetic Candy
White - OPI - Alpine Snow
Top Coat - Seche Vite

Please let me know what you think of this design by leaving a comment, I would really appreciate it.

Swatch - OPI You're Such A Budapest

Today I tried a new polish from OPI's Euro Central collection. It came out in the start of february if I'm not totally wrong. I went into the store to buy some nail polish remover and came out with this. Told my self it was a belated Valentines Day gift to myself to feel lest guilty. I bought myself an OPI polish this weekend too.

But from the collection, this one, Suzi's Hungary Again and Can't Find My Czechbook is my favorite ones. Just the colors I wanna wear this spring. Hopefully the other two will be in my possession soon.

But back to You're Such A Budapest, its a light purple color with a small amount of shimmer in it. Almost a little pastel like. I think pastel is gonna be big this spring, or at least I hope so because I'm lovin' it.

The picture doesn't really show the color justice, it's lighter in real. The formula for this wasn't the best, I'm wearing three layers on the picture and it's still not perfect. But this might be something I can over look just because of how beautiful the color is.

There will be an design up soon with this nail polish so check in again soon.

Silver Heart Nails

Time for another Valentines Day design, this time it's something really easy but pretty according to me.

Silver Heart Nails by Elins Nails

For the base I didn't use any tools. Since I'm wearing gellac I already had white base so I just took the pink one and painted half the nails. It was the lightest color and was easiest to paint over so it' didn't have to be super straight. Then I took the red one and painted over, trying to do it as straight as possible.

Then with dotting tools I made silver hearts in the middle of all the nails and on the ring finger I added dots around the edges of the nails to create an accent nails. I think this design would look good matte too, maybe I should try that.

The nail polishes I used was these -

Don't forget the base coat.
Pink - H&M - Preppy Pink
Red - Claudia - All Red
Silver - Isadora - Silver Sparkle
Top coat - Seche Vite

Have any question about the design or want a tutorial? Just leave me a comment!

Heart Cheetah Print Nail

I'm back with another Valentines Day design. I got loads of ideas in my head right now so hopefully there will be a few more if I got the time for it.

This design is a twist of the cheetah print, also know as my all time favorite design. It's just so easy and there is so many ways to do it. All colors work with it. I like this design, it's not as much as valentines day design as the others I done though. But this is a great way to spicy up the cheetah print design.

For this I have just used dotting tools. What I added to this design is the pink and purple hearts to the brown prints. Thought it gave it a little color kick.

I started with a pretty sheer color and when you do that it's always good to start with white first to don't have to add loads of layers of the sheer color. I already had white gellac under. One of the colors I used are a liquid sand polish, love how they look when you add a top coat.

The nail polishes I used -

Always start with a base coat!
Base coat - OPI - Natural Nail Base Coat
Light brown - Ciaté - Cookies And Cream
Pink - OPI - Pompeii Purple
Purple - OPI - Can't Let Go

Brown - OPI - You Don't Know Jacques
Black - Isadora - Gothic Black
Top Coat - Seche Vite

Hope you like this design.
