Cartoon Nails

Been really busy with school the last few days. But now graduation is just around the corner so hopefully I will have to update the blog more often from now on. This post wont be so long because I don't even have a proper picture of this design. So you have to be satisfied with a cell phone picture, taken before clean up. Soooorry.

They are suppose to look like nails from cartoons.

To do this nail I started with base coat. Then I painted two layers of pink nail polish. With a striping brush I painted the black on the nails edges. With the same brush I added some white thingy on the nail to be a reflection.

Sorry for the bad post and I hope you forgive me for this!

Todays post is my prom nails. Inspired by my prom outfit.

I'm currently out in the woods, hiking, so this will be a mobile post. So I will just include a picture of my nails and my prom outfit.

Polkadot Nail Art

Today I'm going with an easy design that looks pretty anyways. Polka dots! Who doesn't love polka dot nails? I went a safe color match and went with one color, but different shades of course.  It's something that can never go wrong and it looks amazing.

I started with two layers of the lightest green. Then I took one of the smallest dotting tools I have and made dots with my darker green.

It looks pretty good according to me, so I'm satisfied. I love the color match.

The nail polishes I used -

Don't forget base coat.
Lighter Green - Essie - Navigate Her
Darker Green - Sephora - Lime Cocktail
Top Coat - Seche Vite

Please leave a comment below what you think of this design.

Band Nails - One Direction Nail Art

Tomorrow I will be on my way to Denmark to go on a concert and I just had to paint my nails for this special occasion. I'm going to see One Direction, my favorite band. I seen them before and then I had nails inspired by them too.

Since all the nails are different I will explain how I did them one by one. First I put on base coat on all my nails.

On my index finger I have the Irish flag, because Niall in the group is from Ireland. I started with two layers of white. Then I actually used the nail polishes brushes to paint the green and orange on it.
For the middle finger I started with two layers of red and then with a striping brush I wrote TMH which stands for Take Me Home which is the name of their newest album and the tour.
On the ring finger I painted the british flag because the four other members are from UK. For this I started with two layers blue and with a a striping brush I painted the white and then the red on it.
And then my pinky I wrote the first letter of every member. I started with two layers of white and then with the colors I used for the rest of the nails I wrote it with a striping brush. And then with a small dotting tool I made a heart.

Red - Claudia - All Red
Blue - H&M - Turquoise

Orange - Ciaté - Speed Dial

Cherry Blossom Tree Nail Art

Here comes a fast post, because I'm exhausted after a long day. If I'm gonna be honest I only painted one hand so I could show you all here on the blog. I apologize for the pictures here in forehand because I been playing badminton all evening and my arm is tired. Could barely hold the camera still because my arm was shaking so much, haha.

Todays design is a cherry blossom design. I'm pretty satisfied with it, it looks cool.

To to this I started with base coat and then two layers of a light blue nail polish. Then with a striping brush I painted some branches. Then with dotting tools I first made dark pink dots on the branches and then lighter pink dots around that. Then I just finished it off with a top coat to smooth everything down and make it shiny and pretty.

The nail polishes I used for this design -

Always use a base coat too.
Blue - China Glaze - Kinetic Candy
Light Pink - Gina Tricot - Candyfloss
Darker Pink - H&M - City
Top coat - Seche Vite

Thanks for paying a visit to my little world of nail polish.

American Flag nails - French Manicure Twist

Todays nails are inspired by flags and none other then my favorite country's flag, USA's flag of course.

I done familiar nails before for fourth of july last year but when looking back at them now I'm not so proud of them haha.

Oh gosh no, we shouldn't look at them. Lets go on to todays nails instead. But I guess this means that my nail art skills have grown better and thats always something good.

With this nails a did a little twist of the classical french manicure. I started with base coat as usually, and then I did two layers of white nail polish. Then with a striping brush I made the red lines all over the nails. Once those were completely dry I took some french manicure templates. The package I have had 2 different kinds, curved and straight, and I took the straight ones. Which I think are for you toe nails actually but who cares? I painted the tips blue and later when it was dry I did small dots with a dotting tool over the blue to symbolize the stars on the flag.

Matte American Flag Nails by Elins Nails

After a while I decided that I might look cool matte. So I made them matte. It's not often I have matte nails but it looks cool so I should probably do it a little more often.

The nail polishes I used for this is -

Don't forget base coat all times to protect your nails.
White - OPI - Alpine Snow
Red - Gina Tricot - Formula One
Blue - Sephora - Curaçao
Matte topcoat - Essie - Matte About You

Which way did you like more - shiny or matte?
